Walk or Bike

We encourage those who live on and near campus to seriously consider the positive aspects of walking or cycling to jobs and classes. Walkers and cyclists enjoy:

• zero stress about where to park
• zero parking fees
• exercise in transit
• dependable & predictable transportation

Incentives

UC Irvine offers incentives to employees who walk and ride their bicycles to campus. We are currently not offering incentives to undergraduate students.

Employees who walk or bike to campus and do not purchase long term parking permits may register to receive an ST Permit (5 days of parking/month).

The ST Permit is valid in general or reserved parking (except lot 80, service, pay-by-space, and metered stalls) when one box on the permit is dated.

Graduate Students who are employed by the university are eligible for the Employee/Graduate Student Incentives. Graduate students who are not employed by the campus may register for Student ST Incentives.
