Citations must be paid within 21 days of issuance to avoid a $50 late penalty.

2. Pay By Mail When paying a citation by mail, please enclose the citation and a personal check, money order or cashier's check. Do not send cash. Make checks payable to "UC REGENTS" and send payment to address below.
   
   
3. Pay in Person Citations may be paid in person at the UCI Parking Office. Office hours are Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Cash, check, Visa or MasterCard are acceptable forms of payment. Coins and AT dollars will not be accepted for payment.

Citation Penalty Changes

On January 1, 2009, the California legislature passed Senate Bill 1407 that increases the Courthouse Construction Fund. The tax paid to the county increased from $4.50 per citation to $9.50 per citation for all citations issued in California. Effective July 1, 2009, citation penalties will reflect this increase.
