Violation Definitions

On January 1, 2009, the California legislature passed Senate Bill 1407 that increases the Courthouse Construction Fund. The tax paid to the county from $4.50 per citation to $9.50 per citation for all citations issued in California. Effective July 1, 2009, citation penalties will reflect this increase.

Section 21113a of the California Vehicle Code authorizes the University of California to issue parking citations and to establish penalty amounts.
