In response to requests for parking flexibility for faculty and staff, and in an effort to meet the campus mobility challenge head-on, Parking and Transportation introduced "AR Freedom" on December 9, 2004. AR permit holders will now have the ability to park in most AR lots on campus. This gives you the ability to move about campus unrestricted and to perform your job more efficiently.
AR & CP permit holders must register for AR Freedom online. Please have available the following information:
- Employee Identification number (found on your paycheck)
- License plate number(s)
- Type of vehicle(s)
- Work location
- The number of the parking lot you plan to utilize the majority of the time
It is our hope that AR Freedom will maximize the use of the parking spaces we have available on campus, thus increasing the efficiency of our current parking inventory.
In a recent survey of AR permit holders, 84% of the respondents were in favor of parking flexibility.
At this time, lots 18D and 80 are not included in this program. Permit holders for these specific lots are not currently eligible for the parking flexibility of AR Freedom.
