In support of the UCI relief efforts for Haiti, Transportation and Distribution Services and the Center for Service in Action have partnered to continue to provide hope and awareness in response to the devastating earthquake that affected the lives of many. By repurposing old parking meters as change donation points, you have the opportunity to create positive change in the lives of those currently affected by this tragedy. All donations will go to the American Red Cross.
As a member of the UCI community, you have the chance to not only donate but also design the look of the meters. If you would like to offer a submission, please print the form below and submit your design to the Transportation and Distribution Services Office or mwalako@pts.uci.edu no later than Friday, Feb. 26th. Should your design be voted the best, the meter will reflect your artwork and will be named in your honor.

How to Participate:
- Enter meter design contest
- Print meter design form
- Design meter
- Submit your design to the Transportation and Distribution Services Office or mwalako@pts.uci.edu
- Donate excess change at specially marked meters in the Student Center or the Cross Cultural Center or purchase a Haiti Relief Voucher from any Parking Kiosk.
The earthquake in Haiti has been catastrophic. More than three million people have been affected, and estimates are that over 50,000 have died. In an effort to do our part as a campus community we are working together to send donations and remember the lives lost.
